Meet the Palm Centro

Palm, Inc has just released the Centro, a cheap (about $100.00), do-it-all mobile device with iPhone-like features. The Centro comes with camcorder and camera capabilities. Plus you have access to email, IM, the Web, phone, and every other PIM features you can imagine.

The Centro comes with 64MB of flash storage, and is expandable to 4GB (the iPhone has 4 - 8 GB of non-expandable storage). The Web browsing features of the Centro matches that of the iPhone. You can get virtually all Web features.

In a previous post about the iPhone, I speculated that part of the reason for the huge iPhone price cut could be that Apple forsaw cheaper iPhone-like devices from its competitors. At $100.00 and tons of features, the Palm Centro could be your next buy, that is, if you don’t mind doing without the sex-appeal of the iPhone. Find the specs of the Centro here
