TokBox Secures Funding

TokBox, a unique social networking service that allows free, global, live video communication, has just secured $4 million in funding from Sequoia Capital and other investors. TokBox is still a beta service, but it has huge potential.
The service stands a good chance of re-shaping the landscape of live communication.

Imagine being able to talk live, and for free, with anybody, anywhere, all without having to install any software. Like other services of this sort, I do not forsee TokBox becoming a full blown company and going public, but I do see a major player scooping it up and integrating it into into their product line. Be sure to keep an eye on this one.
