You’ve Got to Love Wizzl
Most Internet users are familiar with Skype and other voip Internet applications. There is something now available that is steps ahead of Skype, or any other you have ever used. It’s called Wizzl, and it has nothing to do with Snoop Doggy Dog. Wizzl is a one-of-a-kind Internet application that enables you to engage in a wide range of activities from its sleek interface.
The Wizzl interface has two main modules - communication and entertainment. From the communication module, you can chat, make voip calls to anywhere, send email, and exchange files with other Wizzl users (Wizzlers). It also has a built-in whiteboard. But what sets Wizzl apart from any other application of its kind resides in the entertainment module.
From the entertainment module, you can play a wide variety of games, watch Internet TV programs, listen to your favorite Internet radio station (even listen to music from your PC), and watch videos from YouTube and other online video sources. Imagine an advanced version of Skype and an equally advanced version of Miro, and you have an idea of what you can do from Wizzl’s sleek, shiny interface.
Wizzl is still beta software, and only available for Windows XP and Vista. A mobile version is in the works, but there is no mention of a Linux or MacOS X version on the Wizzl site. In an email exchange through Wizzl press support, however, the Chief of Development said that “we are currently working hard to make Wizzl available to as many users as possible by developing software for Apple and Linux users too”. Wizzl is available for download here.
