MySpace Launches MySpace Transmissions

MySpace TransmissionsMyspace has announced a new program that gives top recording artists the ability to record and sell their works via the MySpace social network. The new program will feature video Q&A with artists, and recorded audio tracks. The video Q&As will be distributed freely, and the audio tracks will be available for purchase.

The new program launched with five audio tracks from artist James Blunt, in addition to the video Q&A session. The James Blunt recording and all the details about MySpace Transmissions is available at the programs Web site.

Rhapsody Music ServiceTiVo is set to add another option to it’s already impressive list of services available on it’s DVR’s. That option will be the Rhapsody music subscription service from Real Networks. This alliance with Real Networks via Real’s Rhapsody service will give TiVo users who subscribe directly to the service access to millions of songs for between $13.00 to $15.00 per month.
Not bad if you listen to music a lot, but consider that Real Networks already allows you to listen to 25 tracks per month for free.
