Take Control of your search privacy with Askeraser
A new tool from Ask.com puts users of the Ask search engine in control of their Internet search profile. The tool, AskEraser, lets anyone using the Ask search engine to delete all their search profile stored on Ask.com servers, or enable it if they so choose. AskEraser is disabled by default, but enabling it is as easy as clicking the AskEraser link on the upper right of the search page, and clicking “Turn on AskEraser” (see the slideshow below) in the modal dialogue box that pops up.

Encrypt VoIP Calls with Zfone
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) or Internet telephony has been growing in popularity and usage, and the trend does not show any signs of slowing down. It has been estimated that at some point in the very near future, calls made over the Internet will exceed calls made over traditional phone networks. Part of that would be due to the fact that VoIP calls are significantly cheaper than calls made over regular phone lines.

Webjacked: How Freeoverstock.com was Taken Down
By webjacking (the digital or online version of hijacking) standards, this was swift and ruthless. A David vs Goliath contest, and David did not put up a fight - could not afford to. The fight was over before it even started, and the bully stole David’s lunch. If you have no idea what this is all about, here is what happened.
Freeoverstock.com is the bright, business idea of Sarkis Chakarian. The idea was to convince businesses to pay him to offload their overstock - stuff that is not selling and taking up warehouse space, and costing them money to store. And so freeoverstock.com was launched. Here is what happened after that as related to me by Sarkis.

Social.fm for Facebook
Social.fm, the popular social music service, has released the Social.fm application for Facebook. The Social.fm application enables millions of Facebook users to add and play songs from their favorite artist or music bands right from their Facebook home page. Installation of the Social.fm application follows the same easy, one-click process as any other Facebook application.
The interface is a smooth, 3D icon list of your favorite artists, and you scroll through either by clicking on any album, or by using a slider under the icons. It’s really easy to use. Searching for a favorite artist or song via the application’s interface is just as easy to use.
In addition to the Facebook application, Social.fm also released versions for myYearbook.com, MySpace, Friendster, Xanga, and other social network services.

Rollmio’s User-generated Video Commercial
The video above is the first user-generated video commercial from Rollmio. Rollmio, first featured here last month, provides a platform for users to create video commercials for (Rollmio) clients, and the video in this post is one of ten selected by Rollmio for their Think Green campaign. Although not one of the top three winners, I personally think it should have won the top prize, and that is why I chose to promote it.
The video in this post could easily be used for a TV commercial, just like Nick Haley’s, which Apple is using for their latest iPod Touch TV commercial. You may view the other user-generated videos selected by Rollmio here.
